 To further advance the high-quality development of the ferrous metal processing industry chain, gain a clearer understanding of the industry’s current status, identify development shortcomings, and streamline the supply-demand matching process, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee led a delegation comprising relevant departments, key enterprises along the industry chain, and industry representatives to Dayang Group to conduct an “industry chain inspection” of the ferrous metal processing sector.

During the event, the research team visited the company’s production workshops, R&D center, product exhibition area, and supporting project sites to gain a detailed understanding of the company’s production and operations, technological R&D, market sales, industrial chain support, and the practical challenges it currently faces. At each location, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with company executives, carefully listened to briefings on issues such as raw material supply, production capacity utilization, product upgrades, environmental protection and energy consumption, and financial support, and coordinated with relevant departments on-site to address the concerns raised by the company. At the subsequent symposium, the research team engaged in in-depth discussions on the current status of the ferrous metal processing industrial chain, including its development, industrial layout, collaborative support, transformation and upgrading, and future plans. The meeting noted that the ferrous metal processing industry is a vital sector underpinning the stable growth of the local industrial economy and a key area for driving quality and efficiency improvements in manufacturing. It is essential to adopt a problem-oriented and goal-oriented approach, strengthen industry-chain thinking, promote the coordinated development of upstream and downstream enterprises, and accelerate the formation of a more comprehensive industrial ecosystem. The meeting emphasized the need to further reinforce the central role of enterprises, support them in increasing investment in technological upgrades and innovation, and enhance product value-added and market competitiveness; interdepartmental coordination must be strengthened, focusing on issues frequently raised by enterprises—such as land use, energy consumption, financing, logistics, and environmental protection—to establish a checklist-based, closed-loop implementation mechanism; around key links in the industrial chain, platforms for matching supply and demand should be actively established to promote the integrated development of large, medium, and small enterprises; and the direction of green and low-carbon development must be upheld to drive the transformation of the ferrous metal processing industry toward refinement, intelligentization, and environmental sustainability.

Officials from the relevant departments stated that they will use this “chain inspection” initiative of the ferrous metal processing industry chain as a key opportunity to comprehensively review the concerns raised by enterprises and the bottlenecks and challenges in the industry identified during visits and surveys. They will establish a problem registry, refine the division of responsibilities, set clear deadlines for resolution, and continuously monitor the various development needs of enterprises.
